For outdoor enthusiasts, the Hiking and Canoeing Club offers the hiker and canoeist short or extended trips to scenic areas.  Several hiking and canoe trips are scheduled each year.  The club rents tents, sleeping pads, backpacks, and other hiking and camping gear.  The club also has responsibility for maintenance of 132 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. 

Eastman Recreation Club membership is a prerequisite to joining the Hiking and Canoeing Club. The Hiking and Canoeing Club annual dues are $5 per year.
